Unique speckled vintage GT rigid mountain bike. 42cm/Small size for a rider around 5'4". Great condition paint job and freshly tuned up. It would make a great all-terrain bike for trail rides, commuting, or even touring or bikepacking. It has front and rear eyelets for fenders or racks, and a sturdy Ishiwata 4130 cro-mo MTB Steel frame. The stem has matching paint. Exage mountain U brake on the rear and Exage Country Cantilever rim brakes on the front.
Original dealer sticker from Fairwood Cycle Center in Renton. Designed and engineered in the USA and made in Taiwan. Minimal wear; a few light scuffs but overall great condition, and the speckled paint will be forgiving if you want to rough this bike up. Heng Shin Nylon 26x1.95” MTB tires and Araya Japan 26x1.5" wheels. The tires are aged, so they could do with being replaced soon. Thumb shifters. 3x8 gearing, great for climbing hills. Shimano 300 Exage LX derailleurs. First generation STI rapid fire Shimano thumb shifters. Shimano SG Biopace crank.
